Compassionate, depth-based, and thoughtful psychotherapy for youth, families, and individuals ready for positive change
You are trying to find balance, you are seeking greater self-knowledge, you want to communicate and listen effectively, but life—yourself—your family, has felt “off.”
Therapy is an opportunity to find out what is real. It is a practice of uncovering and seeking truth, greater communication, vulnerability, and belonging. It is a chance to build and practice new skills. I offer supportive, objective, and relational therapeutic support in your journey to know and engage with yourself or your family in deeper more nuanced ways.
Life Transitions
& Anxiety
Career changes, burnout, having a child, exploring new identities, marriage, and more can create anxiety and uncomfortable thought loops. I am here to help you release the tension, explore the fears, and create a plan for how to reduce the negative symptoms.
Men’s Mental Health
Questions around fatherhood, partnership, vulnerability, isolation, and how to feel difficult emotions are essential to many people’s experience of being a man. We can use the safe therapy room, free from judgement, to explore fears, practice new skills, and understand old personal or social expectations and conditioning that may be unhelpful.
Relationships
Feeling overly impacted by your partner, experiencing an unwanted amount of conflict with your significant other, not knowing how to bring healthy disagreement into your relationship? Together, we can analyze these patterns, explore the possible reasons that these behaviors and feelings are present, and discover new ways to relate to your loved one that address the discomfort or lack of balance that you are currently experiencing.
Addiction
Compulsive thoughts, loss of agency, dissociation, isolation, uncontrollable and distracting cravings, and relationship disruptions. Sharing about compulsions and addiction can feel vulnerable and exposing. In a safe non-judgmental space that respects your pace, we can look at the utility of the substance, we can discover the cost(s) of the compulsion, we can brainstorm ways to reduce the harm, and when/if it feels right, we can look for opportunities to build community and share your experience with affinity groups.
Currently, I work as a therapist in private practice while also serving as a mental health clinician for youth and their families in the foster care system. Before this, I graduated from CIIS in 2023 with an MA in Counseling Psychology where I trained at the sliding scale clinic, Pierce St Counseling Center. I have worked in education, youth development, and social justice related fields for over 10 years. In my personal life, I enjoy reading fiction, cooking, going to the beach, and being with loved ones.
